Seminar – The power of silence: From fear to self-confidence, Moscow Nov 23-24, 2019

Our mind is a wonderful entity. It helps us to find solutions to our daily life problems: it allows us to understand our world, to create science and arts, to build computers and planes, to learn from our past mistakes, and allows us therefore to evolve as humans.

The function of our mind is to know, to understand, and then to take conclusions.

But when we come into a crisis, in which we don’t know the outcome, we get serious trouble: Our mind tries to know what it cannot know, and uses its tactics of trying to understand what it cannot understand.

For our mind, this is very frightening. And as we trust mainly our mind, we get frightened, too. But instead of relaxing and silencing our mind, we push even harder: we try to foresee what will happen, and we try to analyse the reasons for our situation.

The less we manage, the more we try. Our mind becomes an own entity that cannot be silenced any more. We think when we wake up, while brushing our teeth, while talking to our partner (and not necessarily about the content of our talk), while walking on the street, even while having sex. Often, we even don’t manage to sleep, because we are thinking (with no useful result).

The answers to our crisis lie beyond the thinking scope of our mind. Thus, the only way to stop our ruling mind is silencing it by learning to use the tools that nature gave us to deal with crisis: our intuition, our genuine emotions, our natural perception of danger, and our physical confidence to exist as we are. And these tools exist in our body.

This second seminar of the series “A profound thirst for life“ introduces and deepens into the art of creating silence and shifting our attention to our body. By reducing our automatic and mostly inefficient mind noise, we “free space“ (analogue to reducing CPU usage on our computer) and we recover our natural tools of perception. This enables us to perceive the spaces that lie beyond our known borders. And only there we can find truly new ideas, which will guide us to deal best with our crisis.

In this seminar we will explore in practical exercises our ability to expand our perception – beyond the known sphere of our thoughts:
We will learn to reduce our routine mind activity, creating silence.
We will face the fear of not knowing.
We will develop trust in our body.
We will train our ability to perceive reality through our skin.
And we will learn to use our thinking in a creative and free way – free of prejudices, convictions and knowledge.

This seminar – as all seminars within this series – is based on tools of The Grinberg Method (among others, breathing, raising level of energy, stopping movements, and verbal description of experiences). No previous training is required. Instead, curiosity and genuine interest to break through personal borders are absolute welcome!
