Surrendering to Fear

Fear seems to be one of our main enemies in life: We fear to loose our job, we fear illness, we fear the uncertainty of life. When fear arises, it makes us suffer, as it blocks our ability to think and to act. And worst, the least we need fear, the stronger it becomes.

Of course, we develop many strategies to be safe from this unpleasant experience: We try to understand and thus control the causes of the fear, we try to find safe places (financial success, properties, knowledge, people who “protect“ us – all of them comfort zones, that limit our freedom in life), we distract, we worry – we invest huge amounts of our energy to be safe from fear. And still – it never really works.

There is another way to deal with fear: Surrendering to it. Surrendering to those incredible energies that arise in our bodies when we face conflicts – instead of fighting them.
